"We were so pleased to have your Old North State Tea Society join us for tea. You all were a pleasure to have as our guests!"
Jill Sheets, Executive Club Manager at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club

Connie Lue is a fellow evangelist for the growing American tea renaissance. Her enthusiasm is contagious and her gentle spirit instantly puts you at ease. A great teacher is first an inquiring student. She is both!
Bruce Richardson, "Elmwood Inn Fine Teas"/"Benjamin Press"

“Connie and Rex are the embodiment of all that is great with tea. Their compassion, kindness, and willingness to share their knowledge make them some of the great treasures in the tea industry.”
George Jage, President, "World Tea Expo"

"Ms. Lue was a large part of what made our "Afternoon Tea" at Mordecai Historic Park a success. Her knowledge and enthusiasm about tea, its history, and etiquette thrilled both guests and staff alike. We look forward to working with her in the future on all things tea related."
Erin Elizabeth Callis, Assistant Site Manager, Mordecai Historic Park

"I recently had the opportunity to work with Constance Lue, the Southern Tea Lady. What a delight! Our Mother/Daughter organization, the National Charity League - Cardinal Chapter, invited Mrs. Lue to come and address our group of ninth grade young ladies as part of their planning/training for an upcoming Mother/Daughter tea, which they will host in February.

The owner of a local tea room had referred Mrs. Lue to us. From my very first conversation with her, I was convinced I had the not only had found the right person but also our girls were in for a real treat. Her presentation to our group was well organized and full of useful information. She held our group's attention from beginning to end with her extra personal offerings and visual items - and she even came dressed as the "Queen Mum"! What most impressed me was her genuine passion for sharing her love of the subject with a new generation. She handily bridged the age gap and the young ladies were mesmerized by her stories and delighted in her sense of humor.

Mrs. Lue is extremely knowledgeable on the subject of tea and also extremely personable and pleasantly friendly. When another need for anything "tea" arises in our organization, we will certainly contact Mrs. Lue again and I would encourage anyone else to do the same. I am confident she is capable to tailor a program suitable for any age group."
Lori Sheffield, On behalf of the "National Charity League - Cardinal Chapter"

"As a student of Connie Lue's "How to Host a Tea Party", I was given not only a rich introduction into the world of tea, but invited to become transported into another realm. Her classes took us to places where adults can be as playful as they desire and still practice a graciousness we thought only existed in books........The experience is one to treasure and I recommend it highly."
Ellen Powers, Former Student

"I attended "Let's Have a Tea Party" class Fall of 2005 which I happened to stumble upon while searching the web for the nearest tea class. I was so thrilled to have found the class! I had such a wonderful experience! Miss Connie Lue is such a delightful Lady and very knowledgeable about the world of TEA! I had learned so much!

I reside in Mechanicsville, VA and attended the class at Virginia Beach which, by the way, was a 2 hour drive one way for 4 days. It was worth the drive! I had met such kind and wonderful people that encompass the love of TEA. I have recently opened a Tearoom and I know wouldn't have been able to do so without the kind support and help of Miss Connie Lue."

"As founder of the Virginia Tea Society, Constance changed many lives with her "How to Give a Tea Party" classes and gave many ladies and quite a few gentlemen a new and fascinating interest as well as a meeting place for new friends, travels to wonderful tea rooms and an excuse to entertain and dress up. Her legacy in Virginia will give many more through the continuation of her classes. Our Tea Society now has a life of its own and we are still having fun. Along the way, we discovered a historic plantation where we hold many of our events and our members have become volunteers. Thanks for giving so much to so many."
Gayle Chene, "Virginia Tea Society"

"Connie Lue has helped tremendously in making "Taste" Tea Salon in Williamsburg, Virginia a successful business. She has offered her knowledge, contacts and most importantly her friendship. We consider her to be one of the important people in the tea world today. Her warmth and sense of humor will be enjoyed by whomever comes in contact with her."
Diana Dean, Cherri Fiorenza, Lillian Croft, Owners of "Taste"

"Connie, This is just another note to thank you again for imparting your knowledge of tea and civility through your classes. I never would have imagined myself collecting teapots, and comparing the looks and tastes of loose teas - and fine ones at that! You opened a whole new world for me - and my husband, too, by default! - and we love it. We really love taking time out from our hectic schedules to slow the pace with a wonderful cup of tea served in a beautiful teacup from a lovely china pot. So, to the Tea Lady of Virginia/Southern Tea Lady, we tip our cups - and send love and warm wishes."
Judy and John , Former Student
